2015年5月20日5 Lessons From The Best Interaction Designs Wholesale NFL Jerseys Of 2011
Like many of you, I was delighted to find an Amazon Kindle Fire sitting on my desk a few weeks ago, when it was first released. My delight was heightened by the fact that I hadn’t actually bought it. The Fire belonged to another Robert in frog’s New York studio, Robert Curtis, who was more than happy to unbox the product with me so that we could both get a sense of the quality of that crucial "first" user experience with the product. Lest there be any doubt as to whose Fire it was, the screen immediately displayed a personal message: "Hello Robert Curtis. Welcome to Kindle Fire" (even though it was not yet connected to our Wi Fi network).
Now, I realize that the Fire has been taking a lot of heat since its launch for some major gaffes in the design, with usability guru Jakob Nielsen condemning it as a "disappointingly poor user experience." This may not be an Apple quality product yet. But that initial setup experience set a new bar for me. A mere five years ago, critics were falling all over themselves to praise Apple for the revolutionary way that you activated the iPhone never mind that it took almost a dozen screens, a computer, and a cable. It seemed very smart at the time. But now it seems downright clunky. With the Fire, Amazon has done something few can claim: It has moved past Apple in the consumer market. This is no small feat. It takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes, more than you can imagine, to deliver your device to you, straight off of the shop floor, one to one. The Fire’s "out of box experience" is both magical and incredibly mundane very easy to take for granted, as I am sure we all will in the coming years.
Technologies like cheap sensors and cloud computing are increasingly being used to augment our daily lives in both magical and mundane ways. Everything we do is an app in the making (a million and counting). But in this environment we are also developing a new sensitivity to the thin line between enrichment and annoyance. Which is why interaction design continues to gain prominence as the discipline with the greatest potential to maintain our sanity in this brave new world of distraction. So it was with high hopes that I joined a gathering of some of the best minds in interaction design today, including Massimo Banzi, Janna DeVylder, Matt Jones, Younghee Jung, Jonas Lwgren, and Helen Walters, to judge the first annual Interaction Design Awards sponsored by the IxDA. Our job was to recognize the best examples from 2011 as well as communicate the critical role of good interaction design in our lives. While I cannot share the winners yet this experience was a great moment to reflect on the state of interaction design and what it might hold in the next few years.
1. Don’t look for breakthroughs.
The overall work was pretty stunning. We have reached an amazing moment in which interaction paradigms that seemed like sci fi a few years ago are now being broadly applied in commercial markets. This includes everything from gestural interactions to location based systems and smart spaces. Interaction paradigms that were the sole province of the MIT Media Lab 10 years ago are now in wide use at companies like Nike and Pepsi. For many of us this is like watching our children grow up. There is something both exhilarating and deeply disappointing about seeing this future arrive in the form of grocery shopping applications. And it creates an interesting challenge for the Interaction Design Awards to recognize ideas after they have already gone mainstream.
[Top and above: Artefact’s SWYP concept, a printer whose WYSIWYG touchscreen applies interaction ideas you find on cameras and table computers.]
The next breakthroughs will be when these wholesale jerseys rich paradigms are applied to increasingly quotidian and pervasive areas of our daily experience and extended into the physical infrastructure around us. At this point, it is much more interesting to see mobile feedback and data visualization applied to mass transit than to sharing playlists. It is in areas like energy and health care where these interaction models will have the most pull, exposing at the surface level much more fundamental transformations in our basic, physical infrastructure that are sorely needed.
Don’t get distracted by the hype surrounding Google and Apple, Facebook and Twitter, or Android and iPhone. It is time to get out of that game, with technologies like HTML 5 pointing the way. Getting your data onto a single platform is not going to win you any awards. Smart companies are turning their products into services that are broadly distributed, where the value is in the relationship, not a single device. As that continues, we will see the balance of power in innovation shift back to corporations and startups that own these services and away from design agencies that merely extend their reach to the next novel device or platform.
As we switch to a more service oriented ecosystem, interaction design must extend its reach beyond the screen, beyond interactive media and digital information. One of the most interesting submissions was a set of printed instructions for a personal medical device that was beautifully designed and thoroughly tested with end users. A number of the judges questioned the relevance of this work to interaction design. But in an environment as heavily regulated as glucose meters, the most powerful and meaningful opportunities to improve interaction might not involve any pixels. Instead these opportunities reside in call centers, bank statements, or explanations of benefits.
5. Video is the only shortcut.
How do you communicate the impact of interaction design across a distributed set of touch points, some online and some off? I came away from this experience convinced that the most important skill that young interaction designers can develop is in video "sketching." Video plays a critical role in communicating new service and product concepts across time and place. There is no substitute. And the best interaction designers working today, like Matt Jones at Berg, use video to ask new questions about the role of interaction design in our lives. Video is the only shortcut that we have as designers. So use it!
good stuff, sounds so second nature but I understand the difficulty in simplification.
My question is how does video help in testing a chosen direction/application when Wholesale NFL Jerseys it is not interactive. Are you suggesting it be used solely as a sketching tool to work out more complex ideas or is there something more specific I may not be understanding.
We use video quite often to illustrate interactions and narratives for specific way finding systems but I am interested in knowing how I might be able to push these tool sets to allow for a morecreativefeedback processes.

>Ratings declines over
2015年5月20日WTHR’s status as local TV news leader is starting to erode
the last year or so, WTHR ratings have slipped, and the other stations have started to catch up, said Sue Doron, media director for EchoPoint Media, the media buying arm of ad agency Young Laramore. we seeing is the other stations working hard to improve their local news, and as a result, there more parity in the market.
As a buyer, I like having more options for my clients, but I sure this is a concern for WTHR.
Bill Perkins, a longtime local media buyer and president of Perkins Nichols Media, noted that the overall central Indiana
TV viewing audience is not growing.
when one station grows viewership, that growth is coming from somewhere else, Perkins said. He said a recent

In recent years, WTHR has been able to charge 25 percent more for ads than WISH and more than 50 percent more than WXIN and
WRTV TV Channel 6. A 30 second spot during the local news can run anywhere from $600 to $1,500.
Ratings declines over two or three sweeps period might be enough to soften the demand for any TV show, Perkins said.
WTHR, an NBC affiliate, has been Red Suede Dugueclina 100mm hit especially hard during the morning hours.

One note about the picks this season straight up picks will be posted below and picks against the spread will be added to the article on Friday or Saturday when the point spreads are posted. Be sure to check back towards the end of the week to get your spread picks as well.
What a way to kick off the season. A repeat of the NFC Championship game from a year ago, the Vikings and the Saints are sure to get the season started off right. Old man Favre has returned for yet another season, and there is a decent chance that it might have been a mistake. Some injuries to the receiving corps for Minnesota could be a blow for Favre and the offense, but he always seems to manage to figure a way to win. It also does not hurt to have Adrian Peterson in the backfield either.
As for the Super Bowl Champion Saints, quarterback Drew Brees seems primed to take them back to the promised land yet again. The team seems to be put together quite well, and it will be interesting to see if they start red hot like they did last year. This season, they will have a bit more running on tap I think, but the bottom line will still come back to how well Brees moves that high powered passing game.
This game will be a tight one I think, just based upon the quality of the two teams. I do think that Brees and company will take care of business at home and get Favre’s return off to a rocky start. Week one will not be kind to the Vikings as New Orleans produces a repeat performance of the playoff game from last year. The final score will be close, but the Saints will take the win.
Winner New Orleans Saints
SUN, SEP 12
Miami at Red Suede Belle Zeppa 100mm Buffalo
This is a trap game for Miami if ever there was one, and I expect that they will have a bit of trouble with a scrappy Buffalo squad. The Bills have enough weapons to give the Dolphins some problems on defense, but I do not think they have enough to really pull it off. At least not yet. Later in the season might be a different story. Miami is looking pretty solid for this season, and they will start off with a tough win on the road.
Winner Miami Dolphins
Detroit at Chicago
Ah, those lovable Lions. I really feel bad for them every single year but this might be the year that they no longer need my pity. Matthew Stafford will end up being one heck of an NFL quarterback and I think that progression starts in earnest this season. Finally, they have a running back to take some pressure off of Calvin Johnson. The Lions are going to be pretty good offensively, but that defense is still woefully bad. The Bears are a team that is really hard to figure out just yet. I think that Cutler will be much better this season, and the offense will get better as the season wears on. Simply based upon a superior defense and homefield advantage, the Bears will pull this one off.
Winner Chicago Bears
Oakland at Tennessee
The Raiders are simply a team that can not seem to find an identity. I do think that getting rid of Jamarcus Russell was a step in the right direction, and Campbell will be a huge upgrade if Black Suede Compacta 100mm nothing else in leadership. The Titans are a team that could be very good if Vince Young can keep himself together mentally. I think that Oakland will win a few games that they are not expected to this season, but not this week. The Titans are still tough at home, and Chris Johnson will run wild on that run defense of the Raiders.
Winner Tennessee Titans
Cincinnati at New England
Now we are getting into the games that nobody really knows what to expect. Nobody but me that is! Some people think that the Bengals are going to be fantastic this season, and I would not argue that point. I do think they will be very good, but not against the Patriots at home. Brady will find a way to win the game and I do not expect it to be terribly close. It will take some growing pains, but the Bengals will be in great shape by midseason or so. Owens will have a good game though because he really wanted to be a Patriot I think. He will want to show up Belichik and the Pats.
Winner New England Multicolor Printed Pony Compacta 100mm Patriots
Carolina at NY Giants
We all know that I am a huge Carolina Panther fan and I want to disclose that upfront in week one. That said, I am not in the habit of picking them when I think they are going to lose. Nobody seems to think that the Panthers are going to beat the NY Giants and I have not a clue why that is. First of all, the Giants are not the team they once were. Second of all, the Panthers have the best running game in football. Better than the Jets, or any other pretenders to that crown in my estimation. The Panthers are going to run all over the Giant defense and upset them at home. Lock it down and put it in the bank. If you do not, you will be sorry you did not listen.
Winner Carolina Panthers
Atlanta at Pittsburgh
The Falcons are heading to Pittsburgh in Black Leather Boudubou 160mm what might be the game of the week when all is said and done. These two teams match up rather well. I do think the Falcons have an offensive advantage, but the Steelers are going to be at home with a stout defense. I think that Matty Ice will take a huge step forward in his growth as an NFL quarterback and win this game late.

>Baker’s victory
2015年5月20日Baker’s victory Black Leather Lucifer Bow 120mm and the victory of obstruction
His dream deferred for four years, Republican Charles Baker now has his opportunity to govern Massachusetts. For Martha Coakley, losing the closest gubernatorial election in state history is no consolation.
Ms. Coakley did not concede Purple Glitter Love Me 120mm defeat until Wednesday morning after a long night in which the two candidates and their supporters watched the results slowly trickle in. Early on, Mr. Baker appeared on his way to the relatively easy victory that many polls predicted before Ms. Coakley rallied to within a few hundred votes. Mr. Baker than pulled away again and his lead held through the wee hours.
The hard working Democratic attorney general appeared to make inroads with voters the past week. It is likely that progressive independent candidate Evan Falchuk cost Ms. White Satin Love Me 100mm Coakley votes, but the two other right leading independents probably took votes from Mr. Baker. While Democrats won the other state offices, voters chose a Republican governor, which is certainly not unusual historically.
Mr. Baker graciously refrained from declaring victory until Ms. Coakley offered her concession, and indeed he avoided any dramatic campaign theatrics on Wednesday. He appeared eager to put the political season behind him, which weary voters can identify with. Mr. How else to explain, for example, red state voters overwhelmingly backing referendum questions calling for an increase in the minimum wage while electing candidates who oppose increasing the minimum wage? Voters may have wanted to "send a message" to the White House but the message they sent to Congress was an engraved invitation to continue to put the demands of wealthy special interests above those of the average middle class American.
Voters also rewarded Republicans for their cynical policy of obstruction. For six years, Washington Republicans have blocked the president at nearly every turn and then blamed him for not getting enough done. That voters actually bought this argument is a tribute to the power of negative advertising paid for by special interests and the failure of Americans to be sufficiently informed on the facts, which leads to a failure of democracy.
Not that Democrats are absolved of blame. In running away from Mr. Obama, Democratic candidates ran themselves out of office all over the country, fulfilling all of the stereotypes of Democratic timidity. Republican obstruction notwithstanding, the president and his party can boast of lower employment, a strong stock market and an Affordable Care Act that is successfully ensuring Americans, but Democrats didn’t sell these accomplishments to voters and they paid for it. Senator Jeanne Shaheen held off former Massachusetts senator Scott Brown in a close race that the trigger happy TV networks called a few hours too early. Mr. Brown has now lost Senate races in two states, and while it is satisfying that the Senate seat shopping Mr. Brown was defeated, that such a poor candidate could come that close to winning speaks to the depths of anti Obama hysteria afflicting the populace.
Americans should not expect much good to come out of Washington over the next two years, but little has over the past two. In two years, a nation paralyzed by partisan politics will shuffle the deck once again, but little or nothing will Leather Lucifer Bow 40mm change unless the nation’s "leaders" learn to lead rather than follow their worst political instincts, and voters begin to reward those candidates who do lead.

STILLWATER, Minn. Black Leather Zip 140mm (KMSP)
By some estimates, pornography is now a $10 billion industry in America bigger than the NFL, NBA and MLB, but the profits sometimes come at a tragic cost.
This is a story about unforeseen consequences about what happens when a young, impressionable woman enters a world she knows almost nothing about. Instead of getting famous, she found people turning against her. It all played out against the backdrop of social media, bullying and Internet pornography and the tragic sequence of events began unfolding just a couple of months ago.
The first thing a person might notice about Alyssa is that she is stunningly beautiful, but she is so much more a straight A student, and a freshman at the University of Wisconsin’s River Falls campus with big dreams.
"I want to be a major in biology, minor in chemistry, and I want to be an anesthesiologist," she said while sitting on a casting couch.
Yet, it was no ordinary job interview. Taped earlier this year in Las Vegas, it was the seemingly normal prelude to a pornographic movie from a company called Casting Couch Videos. In a few minutes, Alyssa who goes by the name "Stella" in the movie will be seen on camera, having sex with a total stranger.
"I’m Stella Ann. I’m 18, from Minnesota, and I’m really looking forward to get started," she said.
Just a few days after that video was posted online, Alyssa began getting taunting messages on Twitter and Facebook mostly from old classmates at Stillwater High School, where students were abuzz and they were Black Suede Belle Zeppa 100mm not kind.
Students huddled around their phones in the cafeteria, looking at the video. One student sent a tweet that said, "Wow your a thot" slang for a prostitute "Does her dad know?"
Another wrote, "Nothing brings a school together like a porn star who graduated last year. I guess you could say news spreads fast here at Stillwater hahah."
Alyssa responded with her own tweets, "famous for dayzzz" and "pornstar status, a okay" but everything was not okay. Two weeks after the video was posted online, on April 16, Alyssa bought a 12 gauge shotgun, drove to a picturesque boat landing on Big Carnelia Lake and killed herself. She was only 19 years old.
Alyssa’s family did not want to speak on camera, and it’s easy to understand why but they did tell the Fox 9 Investigators that although Alyssa had struggled with depression from time to time, they believe the taunts on social media played a significant role in her suicide.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating her death, but detectives don’t believe the postings on social media constitute criminal harassment and a spokesperson for Stillwater High School says they haven’t received any complaints or reports of bullying but they point out, correctly, that Alyssa was no longer a student of theirs.
Yet, her classmates at UW River Falls say they have little doubt about what drove her to suicide.
"A lot of people are really negative troll y about it or standing up and saying it shouldn’t happen to people," Katrina dodge said. "Sad it’s still happening, actually."
There is a striking contrast between Alyssa’s story and that of Duke University Freshman Miriam Weeks, aka porn star Belle Knox. She has become a kind of celebrity with a glowing profile in Rolling Stone magazine last month and appearances on the talk show circuit.
"I am breaking down barriers between mainstream and the adult industry," she told FOX 5 in New York City. "I think that’s great, and I want to keep getting my message about female empowerment and sex worker rights."
Joy Friedman doesn’t buy it for a minute.
"She’s biting Green Suede Belle Zeppa 100mm her lip," Friedman pointed out. "She’s not okay with this."
Friedman is a social worker with Breaking Free, a non profit that helps women get out of the sex industry. She sees young women like Alyssa and Miriam all the time and sees little difference between pornography and prostitution especially when she hears the man behind the camera.
"He did the same thing that pimps do," she said. "It reminds me of the pimps who talked to me."
Friedman believes that because children are exposed to pornography at a younger age, they’ve become desensitized to Red Suede Belle Zeppa 100mm it and don’t realize that the decision to do porn today could follow them for a lifetime.
"This is permanent, she can’t erase this. Now, it goes into your family, it goes into your friends, it goes into your career," Friedman said. "In the future, this is what you’re known for and this is who you’re labeled as. That affects you."
The man in the video asked Alyssa if she had a normal childhood. She said yes, but Friedman didn’t buy that either.
"I bet if we had to go back and pull back the layers of what happened for her, I imagine we’d find something dysfunctional in her past," Friedman said.
Indeed, Alyssa had more than her share of challenges growing up. Her biological father has a rap sheet for theft and swindling; her mother and a boyfriend were busted for dealing drugs and neglecting Alyssa’s younger siblings. Alyssa had moved in with her grandmother when she was just a young teen, and she struggled with money transferring from St. Catherine’s to UW River Falls last year.
When asked whether she blames the students from Stillwater High, Friedman said, "Yeah, I do."
"I mean, I blame them ’cause everybody plays a role here. You can be a part positive or negative. Why did no on go talk to her and say, ’Girl, why did you do that? What can I do to help you?’" she explained. "Instead, we jump on the bandwagon and it’s her fault ’cause she got in a video."
Since Alyssa’s suicide, there’s been an outpouring of grief on social media, including moving tributes. Friends remember her as a sweet, bright and intelligent young woman with so much promise.
